Haashim Domingo says he is enjoying his time at Cape Town City after a number of years sat on the sidelines.
The 29-year-old former Ajax Cape Town, Bidvest Wits and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder joined the Citizens from Raja Casablanca this season.
He has played 14 games in all competitions this season, contributing with three asissts.
Last term, he made just 10 appearances in the Botola Pro 1, and 17 appearances for Downs in the Premiership the season before.
Speaking to FARPost, Domingo explained that he is happy to back on the field after a difficult two years.
He said: “In two years, I have not played as many games as this season. I came here because I needed a place where I would find myself and start enjoying football.
“I have over nine years of staying in Cape Town so the connection with the Mother City has been helpful to me. I spent some time in Morocco and it’s a chapter that I have put behind me.
“In the last two years, I haven’t been able to play as much as I have played here. I can safely say that I am starting to enjoy my game.
“As a player, that is what you want to achieve first before thinking of anything. Thanks to coach Eric [Tinkler], now I can talk about being happy.”
