Simba SC head coach Fadlu Davids has guided the Tanzanian outfit to an impressive start in the 2024/25 NBC Premier League campaign, securing a resounding 4-0 victory over Fountain Gate.
Following a 3-0 triumph over Tabora United in their opening match, Simba faced a more formidable opponent in Fountain Gate at the KMC Stadium. However, Davids’ side showcased their dominance, with Valentino Mashaka, Jean Ahoua, Steven Mukwala, and Edwin Balua finding the back of the net.
This victory serves as a positive omen for Simba after narrowly losing to Young Africans in the FA Community Shield earlier this month. Davids, who played a pivotal role in Raja Athletic Club’s historic domestic double alongside Josef Zinnbauer last season, has been tasked with breaking Young Africans’ stranglehold on the Tanzanian league.
