Bradley Carnell has ended his tenure with Free State Stars and will serve as Muhsin Ertugral’s right-hand man in an assistant coach role at Orlando Pirates.

The Mayfair-based outfit confirmed the appointment of the former Bafana Bafana international defender via their official twitter and Facebook accounts.

“Orlando Pirates Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Bradley Carnell as Assistant Coach,” the club statement read.

“The 39-year old joins the Club with immediate effect having agreed on a three year deal.”

“Carnell, who is a former Bafana international and assistant coach of Free State Stars, and has previously worked with the University of Johannesburg’s Varsity Cup football team, will be welcomed to the rest of the squad today.”

Carnell will link up with the duo of Justice Chabalala and Sello Japhta, who also made the move from the Bethlehem-based outfit to the Soweto giants.
