Broos: Percy is an important player for Bafana

Percy Tau

Hugo Broos expects Percy Tau to complete a move to Al Ahly where his increased game time will benefit Bafana.

The new South Africa national team boss named a trimmed-down 23-man squad to face Zimbabwe and Ghana in 2022 World Cup Cup qualifiers early next month, with the Brighton forward named amongst the attackers.
Talks are reportedly ongoing over a proposed switch to the Egyptian Premier League to link up with former boss Pitso Mosimane.
Speaking after naming his side, Broos was reported by Times Live to have said: “He’s an important player for Bafana Bafana.
“If Percy will not play in the next month I have a problem. But I heard some good news. I think he will not stay at Brighton, and will go to an Egyptian team with SA coach Pitso Mosimane, Al Ahly.
“I think in the next days it will be done, and then he will have his chance to play. Then there will be a problem less.”
