Betway Premiership : Milford Thrash Richards Bay 5-1 to Move Into Fifth Place

The Stallions won their third match of the season to move back into fifth position on the league table after dismantling struggling KwaZulu-Natal rivals Richards Bay 5-1.

Milford took the lead in the 28th minute after striker Siphosethu Ndlabi converted a penalty after Lindokuhle Zikhali was sent off for pulling back the attacker in the box.

The home side doubled the scoreline shortly before half-time with Mvelo Zikakayo striking home a loose ball which Bay had failed to clear.

The Natal Rich Boys made a double change at the break but found themselves 3-0 down just nine minutes into the second half when Zikakayo completed his brace with a neat finish from a Ndlabi assist.

Richards Bay managed to pull one back in the 77th minute through Mehluleli Ndelu but Milford restored the three-goal lead via substitute Phakamani Jwara.

Jabulile Gxakoshe, another substitute completed the rout with an elegant strike to hand the hosts a 5-1 win and condemn Bay to 14th spot on the league table.
