Shakes Mashaba makes three changes for the COSAFA Cup semi-final clash against Swaziland

Shakes Mashaba announced his team for the COSAFA Cup semi-final between South Africa and Swaziland with three changes from the 11 that beat Lesotho.

Repo Malepe, Deolin Mekoa and Thabiso Kutumela will replace Tshepo Rikhotso, Thembinkosi Lorch and Gift Motupa from the side that claimed a penalty shooutout win over Lesotho.

Speaking to the offical SAFA website, Mashaba believes the semi-final which will be played at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek will be a good game.

“This should be another interesting match. Swaziland has had a great run in the COSAFA Cup finishing top of Group A,” he said.

“We expect a very fast game as they have some very talented and physically strong players.”

Mashaba is confident their run in this tournament has served as the perfect preparation for the Rio Olympics set to take place in August.

“Our mission here is beyond this tournament. This is the squad that will be going to the Rio Olympics and shaping that squad into a winning team begins here,” he said.
