AmaZulu Appoints Zwane and Vilakazi as Joint Coaches

AmaZulu Football Club has appointed former Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane and Vusi Vilakazi as joint first-team head coaches. The duo will replace Pablo Franco Martin, who was dismissed just days ago.

Zwane, previously Chiefs’ Head of Development, brings a wealth of experience to the role. Vilakazi, who has been elevated from the club’s DStv Diski Challenge coach, will join him as co-coach.

AmaZulu’s search for a new coach has been a tumultuous one, with several high-profile candidates turning down the opportunity. However, the club believes that Zwane and Vilakazi are the right men to lead the team forward.

AmaZulu President Sandile Zungu expressed his confidence in the pair, stating,

Their combined experience as both coaches and former professional players will be crucial in developing our younger talents and guiding our seasoned players in the task ahead, ”.

Zwane and Vilakazi take over a struggling AmaZulu side rooted to the foot of the Betway Premiership table.

Their first match in charge will be against Stellenbosch in the Carling Knockout Cup round of 16 after the FIFA break at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Usuthu will resume league action when they face Orlando Pirates on October 25.
