Orlando Pirates have re-signed Bheki Mabuza from Marumo Gallants, bringing the 23-year-old winger back to the club where he began his development.
Mabuza joined Gallants from Leruma United at the start of last season and made 32 appearances in all competitions during the 2025-26 campaign, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
He has featured three times for Gallants this season, most recently in their 2-0 defeat by Mamelodi Sundowns on 19 August.
Pirates confirmed the permanent transfer in a statement, describing the move as a return to familiar surroundings for the former academy player.
“During his time away from the club, Mabuza made encouraging progress and impressed,” Pirates said. “His performances at Gallants convinced the club that he is ready to return and take the next step in his career.”

The Buccaneers have also agreed two outgoing loan moves, with Zimbabwean winger Daniel Msendami and midfielder Abdoulaye Mariko joining Gallants for the season.
Msendami scored in Pirates’ 3-0 victory at Chippa United on 16 August but has now been allowed to leave on loan.
Mariko joined Pirates from Malian club Djoliba before last season but did not make an appearance for the club. The 24-year-old instead spent time on loan at Chippa United and Orbit College.
Mabuza’s return provides Pirates with another attacking option while Gallants add two players to their squad for the remainder of the campaign.
