Amakhosi appointed the Frenchman ahead of the 2026/27 season, following a trophyless campaign under co-coaches Khalil Ben Yousseff and Cedric Kaze after taking over from Nasreddine Nabi.
The Soweto giants have not won the league title since the 2014/15 season with Stuart Baxter at the helm, and Bobby Motaung has admitted that it’s a key objective for the new coach.
“The new coach obviously knows he has to win the league,” said Motaung in a FARPost exclusive.
“He has to win cups; he has to bring the glory days back. He must enjoy his work with the support that we are giving him with the players and everybody.
Chiefs have made six signings for the 2026/27 campaign, acquiring Langelihle Phili, Thabo Moloisane, Renaldo Learner, Adolf Mtasingwa, Khanyisa Mayo and Faiz Abrahams, who joined on loan from Stellenbosch.

“In football, you never stop thinking of any new signings. In football, you are always looking for the best,” added Motaung.
“If you get the best in the market, you get it, and if you can afford it and there is space for them and the coach needs them, we will always support.”
The Glamour Boys will be back in action next Sunday, when they take on Siwelele at FNB Stadium.
