Anderlecht forward Knowledge Musona is reportedly set to be offloaded by the club and could be available to a number of Premiership sides including Kaizer Chiefs.
Musona made his name at Chiefs over two spells where he managed an impressive 27 league goals for the Glamour Boys.
In 2010/11 the 28-year-old scored an impressive 15 PSL strikes and would be a top prospect for the big three of South African football including Amakhosi, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.
Nonetheless, he has struggled for playing time in 2018/19 for Purple and White, making just three league starts in Belgium’s top flight.
According to the Sowetan, the Zimbabwe ace was supposed to go on loan to Waasland-Beveren – a minnow in Belgian football from Antwerp – but his big wages meant the deal did not go through.
As such, Anderlecht have taken Musona on their winter training camp to Spain along with 30 other players, however, his longer term future remains in serious question.
With that said, Chiefs’ Football Manager Bobby Motaung was the man who originally brought the star to Naturena, and he could potentially swoop for the Zimbabwean again.
Yet, other PSL sides with major financial backing could make a bid for the Norton-born footballer.
If any South African clubs do decide to make a move for Musona, they have until the end of the January transfer window to secure his services.
