The former Stade Tunisien, Al-Ahli and AS FAR assistant is in his first sole head coach role since leaving his post as co-coach at Kaizer Chiefs.
Alongside Cedric Kaze, Ben Youssef led Amakhosi to third place on the Betway Premiership.
The duo were, however, let go by the Soweto giants in favour of Frenchman Fernando Da Cruz, with Kaze having since taking up the head coach role at Sekhukhune United.
Speaking ahead of his first competitive game in charge of City, ironically against Babina Noko, at the Makhulong Stadium on Saturday, Ben Youssef said his team are gearing up for the clash.
Unlike a number of fellow Betway Premiership teams, Sekhukhune have not made wholesale changes to their squad; instead adjusting with just a few key signings.

“I think, defensively, the team was already performing well, so we wanted to keep that defensive organisation and everything they were doing last season,” Ben Youssef said on IOL.
“We have only tried to make a few adjustments and add more ideas in attack. We want the team to keep the ball more, play a more offensive style, and improve how we build attacks, progress through the middle, and organise ourselves in possession.”
“I found a team that was already tactically prepared, with a lot of good ideas in place. Congratulations to them because they made our job much easier”,” he added.
“It will be a little difficult for the players at the beginning, but I’m confident in the work we are doing. In the end, we want to achieve our objectives, and our goal is to finish in the top eight.”
