Arthur Zwane has moved to end speculation over his future, insisting he remains fully committed to AmaZulu and the long-term vision that persuaded him to join the Durban club.
The AmaZulu head coach has been linked with a move to Sekhukhune United after guiding Usuthu to an impressive fourth-place finish in the Premiership last season, narrowly missing out on qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup.
Zwane, who initially joined the club in 2024 as co-head coach alongside Vusumuzi Vilakazi before taking sole charge, said reports of interest from elsewhere never altered his plans.
Speaking on Ukhozi FM, the former Kaizer Chiefs coach acknowledged that rumours are part of football but stressed that both he and the club’s leadership remained aligned throughout.

“At the end of every season there will always be discussions about a coach’s future,” Zwane said. “Those talks were there, but the president, the CEO and I always understood what the club’s plan was. There was never any panic that I or members of the technical team would leave because this project was clearly explained to me by president Sandile Zungu.”
Zwane described the AmaZulu project as one he could not abandon simply because of outside interest, saying the opportunity to build something meaningful outweighed any temptation to move.
“This project means a lot to me because it took me from where I had been for many years. It is not something I would leave because of whispers.”
The 51-year-old also reflected on the loyalty that defined his playing career, arguing that stability had been central to his development and remained just as important in management.
“You should not chase every opportunity when your current club is treating you well,” he said. “That is one of the reasons I enjoyed such a long career.”
Zwane believes AmaZulu still have room to grow after last season’s progress and is determined to continue that journey.
“I feel this club can help me grow and I can achieve great things here,” he said. “No matter who approaches me, I know what will make me proud. We have already achieved a lot, and next season perhaps we can push even higher and challenge for third place.”
