The 27-year-old has agreed a two-year contract with the Buccaneers, with the club holding an option to extend the deal by a further year as head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou continues to reshape his squad.
Pedersen arrives in South Africa after establishing himself as one of the more reliable goalscorers in Norwegian football’s second tier. During his time with Sogndal, he built a reputation as a clinical finisher, scoring 51 goals in 117 appearances while demonstrating the composure and movement that have made him one of the league’s standout forwards.
A product of Norway’s respected youth development system, Pedersen represented his country at every age-group level from Under-15 through to Under-21. Although he never progressed to the senior national side, his performances have consistently marked him out as a technically accomplished striker with intelligent positioning inside the penalty area.
Rather than relying on physical dominance, Pedersen’s game is built on sharp movement, instinctive finishing and an ability to convert chances with minimal touches. Those qualities are expected to add a different dimension to the Pirates attack as they prepare for the demands of domestic competition and continental football.
