Orbit College strengthened their relegation battle with a gritty 2-1 triumph over TS Galaxy at Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Rockets made two changes following their loss to Siwelele FC, starting Tshepo Kakora and handing a debut to Sedwyn George, while the Mswenko boys welcomed back Ben Motshwari and Ayanda Lukhele. Kakora threatened early on, rifling a powerful low shot narrowly wide after ten minutes.

Orbit struck midway through the first half when a defensive error by Mlungisi Mbunjana allowed Gomolemo Khoto to fire into the top corner. A further mix-up between Ira Tape and Solomon Letsoenyo gifted Lesedi Kapinga an empty-net finish ten minutes before the interval.

Victor Letsoalo replaced George at the break and nearly made an instant impact, but Chibwe denied him and Junior Zindonga. Sphamandla Ngwenya pulled one back on 65 minutes, yet the Rockets’ late pressure proved insufficient as Orbit held firm for a crucial win.
