Mamelodi Sundowns will be looking to return to the top of the Betway Premiership table when they face Orbit College at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Monday.
The Brazilians will be facing PSL newcomers Orbit College for the first time in the 2025/26 campaign, and know that a victory will put them one point ahead of current log leaders Orlando Pirates.
Both teams have made notable personnel changes in their respective squads during the current January transfer window as they look to improve their respective league positions after the AFCON 2025-induced break.
Masandawana have announced the signings of Monnapule Saleng from Orlando Pirates, TS Galaxy defender Khulumani Ndamane and Colombian attacker Brayan Léon.
Meanwhile, Orbit College, whom Saleng spent the first half of the season on loan to, have also acquired the experienced duo of former Sundowns and Cape Town City winger Bradley Ralani (38) and Zambian goalkeeper Cyril Chibwe (32).
Saleng is not expected to take part in this encounter as he reportedly recovers from an injury that will prevent him from making his debut for the Tshwane giants for 10-12 weeks.
The Chloorkop-based side has also been in the news due to rumours linking former coach Pitso Mosimane with a return to the club to replace Miguel Cardoso.
“We don’t want to focus on what people write about,” said Sundowns and Bafana Bafana versatile wingback Aubrey Modiba to reporters.
“Our focus is on the team and our preparations for the resumption of the league.”
Kick off for the encounter is set for 19h00.
