Premier Soccer League giants Kaizer Chiefs have avoided rivals Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns in the Carling Knockout Cup.
The draw was held on Monday afternoon where teams who finished in the top half of the Betway Premiership last season, were seeded and could not be paired with each other for the last 16.
Chiefs finished the previous term outside of the top eight, and as a result, faced the possibility to play their arch-rival Pirates or Masandawana.
However, Amakhosi were pitted against 2023 champions Stellenbosch FC, the two have already met this season in a Betway Premiership match that ended 2-0 in favour of Amakhosi.
Sundowns will face Marumo Gallants while the Buccaneers will test themselves against Siwelele FC.
