TS Galaxy owner Tim Sukazi has made it clear that he is not eyeing the PSL chairman position, stating that he is content with his current role.
Sukazi was elected to the PSL exco alongside acting CEO Mato Madlala and Stanley Matthews for a four-year term.
Amid speculation that he could succeed Irvin Khoza, who has led the PSL since 2003, Sukazi insists that the position is not his focus.
“That is not my decision to make. People may have opinions, but the chairman is chosen through a legislative process where clubs vote,” Sukazi said on The Ntsimbi Makwakwa Podcast as quoted by Hollywoodbets Sports blog.
He emphasized that Khoza has done great work and should be supported rather than speculating about succession.
“I am in a good space. Positions don’t drive me; I care about advancing football. Sometimes when you speak up, people call it controversial, but we must push the game forward,” he added.
Sukazi also expressed respect for PSL leadership, highlighting the contributions of Kaizer Motaung and Irvin Khoza to South African football.
