Sanele Barns (born April 2, 1997) is a South African soccer player who plays as a midfielder for Stellenbosch FC in South Africa’s Premier Division.

He is originally from Tweefontein. Barns joined TS Galaxy’s development system and made his Premier Division debut after the team owner acquired a league license. He also spent time on loan at Casric F.C. in the ABC Motsepe League. Upon returning to Galaxy, he contributed to their 2019–20 CAF Confederation Cup campaign. Barns left Galaxy in 2020 to join the University of Pretoria, known as “AmaTuks.”

In the summer of 2022, Barns signed with Richards Bay, leading to his first regular season in the top tier during the 2022-23 campaign, where he recorded four goals and four assists.

At the end of the 2023-24 season, Barns signed with Western Cape team Stellenbosch FC. Upon signing he said:

“I’m very excited to be here because Stellenbosch is a very good team, with very good players and a very good coach,” Barns said.

“Everyone around here has been very welcoming so one has to be happy to be here, and I’m very excited to start my journey at Stellenbosch FC.

“You have to look at many things when joining a new team. You have to look if they are competitive, and I checked and double-checked, and Stellenbosch are competing for all of the silverware. My decision to join the club was based on that.”
