SuperSport United’s veteran central midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane believes the talented Teboho Mokoena can enjoy a top career if he keeps his feet on the ground.
Mokoena represented South Africa’s U20 side at the World Cup in South Korea in 2017, and was more recently named in Stuart Baxter’s Bafana Bafana squad for the Four Nations tournament which takes place next week in Zambia.
Thus far in 2017/18 the 21-year-old has made 19 appearances in the Premiership while contributing one goal from midfield.
As such, ‘Yeye’ takes the view that the player is amongst the best in the country, and can enjoy success if he stays humble.
He told the Sowetan: “I rate him to be one of the best midfielders we have in the league at the moment and he is a genuine prospect for the future.
“But that is not enough because he must stay grounded and continue to work hard to achieve success.
“There is still a lot of hard work to be done before he could be considered as a complete footballer‚ but the signs are there if he stays on the right lane.
“We must always remind him of where he comes from so that he stays humble‚ respect his job and people.”
