Zwane to Undergo Scans in Brazzaville

Bafana Bafana midfielder Themba Zwane was withdrawn from South Africa’s stalemate with Congo during their AFCON qualifier on Tuesday after going down on the pitch unopposed.

South African coach Hugo Broos was forced to substitute Zwane in the first half as Bafana Bafana drew 1-1 with Congo.

The Mamelodi Sundowns playmaker will undergo medical tests in Brazzaville to determine the severity of the injury sustained.

The medical scans will help assess the extent of the damage and determine his availability for future matches.

Dr Tshepo Molobi, the Bafana Bafana team doctor, confirmed that Zwane will return to South Africa with the rest of the squad after the scans are completed. He also mentioned that SAFA has been in close communication with Sundowns to ensure proper medical care upon his return.
