AmaZulu president Sandile Zungu says the DStv Premiership club are unlikely to make any more signings ahead of the new season.
Usuthu have been busy in the transfer market with a number of new acquisitions while also releasing a large raft of players.
Thendo Mukumela, Veluyeke Zulu, Riaan Hanamub, Dumisani Zuma, Augustine Kwem, Gabadinho Mhango, Ethan Brooks and most recently, George Maluleka have all penned deals with AmaZulu.
And speaking to KickOff, Zungu dismissed reports that a deal for former Kaizer Chiefs centre-back Ramahlwe Mphahlele is on the cards.
He said: “I only saw the Mphahlele issue on the papers. I think we are done with our signings for this season.
“We can’t sign more than we have now, I think we’ve got a very strong team.
“I think you need to look at the players we’ve signed to see how strong we are.
“Starting with George Maluleka, Ethan Brooks, Gabadinho Mhango, Augustine Kwem, Dumsani Zuma, Veluyeke Zulu, Thendo Mukumela, Riaan Hanamub, Rally Bwalya…
“I mean if you look at all those players, those are quality players… And add to that what I already have in the form of Sphesihle Maduna, the likes of Lehlohonolo Majoro who is fully fit and back.
“Bonginkosi Ntuli is post-recovery now and is about to join the team on the field.
“And you have the likes of Abbubaker Mobara so it’s a quality team.”
