AmaZulu president Sandile Zungu has confirmed the signing of Orlando Pirates striker Gabadinho Mhango as Tapelo Xoki heads to the Buccaneers.
The Malawian marksman has previously plied his trade for Bloemfontein Celtic, Golden Arrows and Bidvest Wits and has scored 54 goals in 166 matches in total during his time in the PSL’s top-flight.
He netted 23 times in 71 games for Bucs before falling out of favour this season and being swiftly courted by AmaZulu.
Centre-back Xoki, 27, made 38 appearances in all competitions this term as AmaZulu ended in seventh place on the DStv Premiership.
Zungu told Ukhozi FM: “Dr Irvin Khoza did contact me personally about Tapelo Xoki and we’ve spoken.
“I respect him for the way he handled it, so Xoki will leave us, he played his last game yesterday (Tuesday) and Gabadinho Mhango is joining us.”
