Xavi unhappy by lack of Barca signings

Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez is reportedly getting concerned about the lack of transfer activities at the club head of the start of pre-season games.

Should this carry on, Barcelona will start pre-season with almost the same squad they had last season.

The changes being that Riqui Puig, Samuel Umtiti, Martin Braithwaite and Oscar Mingueza are not part of Xavi’s plans for the upcoming season.

According to Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportiv, Xavi still has no idea about the futures of Ousmane Dembele and Frenkie de Jong, who he would love to see stay at Barca.

Barcelona’s loan signing is Ferran Jutgla and four players could also be returning from loan-deals, namely – Miralem Pjanic,Francisco Trincao, Inaki Pena and Rey Manaj.

While rumours have been rife about the constant transfer activities surrounding Barcelona nothing concrete has actually happened yet.

The Catalans have targeted signing Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Angel Di Maria, Bernardo Silva, Jules Kounde, Marcos Alonso, and Cesar Azpilicueta, but due to them not offloading any players yet it makes things all the more difficult to get new players and overly inflate their squad which becomes expensive.

It remains to be seen what happens in the next few days and if Barcelona and buy and offload any players during the June transfer window.
