Royal AM are not confirming whether chairman Andile Mpisane is registered as a member of the playing squad for this season’s DStv Premiership.
Mpisane, who at 19-years-old became the youngest chairperson in PSL history in October 2020, and also played in the GladAfrica Championship.
There is still uncertainty if more history will be made in the DStv Premiership by seeing the first dual chairman and player in action this season.
In an interview with club manager Richard Makhoba, KickOff.com asked if Mpisane was registered to play but no answer was forthcoming.
“Andile was sitting in the stands against Swallows as a club chairman last game,” Makhoba told Kickoff.com.
“As to the other stuff, I’m only going to comment on Andile being the chairman of the club.”
When pressed for further comments Makhoba would not say anything new.
“That one I think we will respond to in your next interview.
“But you saw him happy in the stands, and you saw the board, the management happy in the stands, we happy.
“Finally, we are where we belong. It’s like when people are telling you you’ve completed your masters and PhD. That’s the feeling we have, a feeling of having graduated into the elite class,” he added.
Royal AM host Cape Town City in their next league match at Chatsworth Stadium on Wednesday.
