TS Galaxy bids farewell to Sead Ramovic

Premier Soccer League club TS Galaxy have expressed gratitude to their former coach Sead Ramovic, who recently parted ways with the club after three seasons.

The German mentor announced his departure from the club live on TV following their 1-1 draw against Stellenbosch FC on Wednesday.

He experienced a slow start to his 2024-25 campaign which began with a 3-1 loss against Stellies in the MTN8 opening match and was followed by a winless run of six matches in the league including four losses and two draws.

Ramovic joined the Rockets in 2021 from the Serbian club Novi Pazar FC, he led Galaxy to a sixth-place finish and the final of the Carling Knockout Cup last season.

The 45-year-old was at the helm of Galaxy for 104 matches, he recorded 34 wins, played 31 draws and suffered 39 losses.

“They tried to convince me. They tried everything. But this is the character that they know. I gave my heart, my soul to them and to this club. I’m just proud. It’s been a long time as coach to these beautiful players, but I think it’s time for something new,” said Ramovic after his announcement.

“Thank you, Coach Sead Ramovic, for your dedication, leadership, and the impact you’ve had on the team. Your hard work, passion, and belief in every player have truly inspired us to aim higher and push further.” reads the Galaxy post that was shared on their social media platforms.

“We’re grateful for your commitment and the positive energy you brought every day. Thank you for the wisdom and growth we’ve gained under your guidance.

Tim Sukazi, the Chairman of TS Galaxy announced that Adnan Beganovic who was the club’s assistant coach will take over as the head. Beganovic also holds a UEFA Pro Licence.

“He’ll be assisted for now by Vuyo Mere, and then we are considering the chances of adding one or two [technical members], but, with that said, it’s very humbling. I’ve been inundated with calls and CVs unsolicited.” Sukazi said on Metro FM.
