Brandon Truter says AmaZulu must be wary of underestimating KwaZulu Natal rivals Golden Arrows when the two sides clash in a derby match at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Wednesday.
While Usuthu are top of the DStv Premiership standings with 10 points from four matches, Arrows are languishing in last place with just two points.
Truter has led his side to three straight victories, but says form counts for nothing when playing for “bragging rights”.
He explained on IOL: “Derbies are always tough and therefore the form book and log standings go out the window.
“We are playing for pride and we’re playing for the bragging rights of the province.
“The KZN derby isn’t like any other and we saw it last season as well because we were on a roll and Arrows came in and gave us a tough time in the last game of the season.
“It’s very important for us that we keep going and keep improving.”
