So Daniel Levy’s masterplan didn’t pay off and Spurs bitter rivals still ended up with the world’s finest playmaker.
To rub salt into the wounds, his new look side failed to show up at the Emirates and although they bossed the midfield as expected, they came away with nothing.
It’s Norwich at home for them this weekend, in what should be a decent match.
Both games last season ended in draws, with a certain Gareth Bale saving Spurs blushes at Carrow Road with one of the goals of the season as he glided past three defenders before smashing the ball into the bottom corner.

There’s no Bale to save them this time around, and they’ve been unconvincing for me thus far, so 34/10 on the draw looks rather tasty.
