TIM SUKAZI DISMISSES SEAD RAMOVIC’S LINK TO KAIZER CHIEFS

TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi says there are no truth to the rumours that Sead Ramovic is in line to take up the head coach role at Kaizer Chiefs.

Ramovic’s stock has certainly risen since joining the Rockets, with his team currently occupying fourth place on the DStv Premiership with one game of their season to play.

Recent reporting has suggested that Amakhosi are preparing a bid for the German mentor, as a replacement for current interim head coach Cavin Johnson.

While Sukazi admits that Chiefs need a strong coach like Ramovic at their club, he also insisted that there had been no contact from the Soweto team.

Sukazi said: “I’ve heard rumours that our coach is wanted by Chiefs.

“These are rumours, we have not been approached.”

The Galaxy supremo added: “However, I want a strong Kaizer Chiefs, I love him [Ramovic].

“He’s my coach, but he’s a coach that can turn Chiefs around and South Africa needs a strong Kaizer Chiefs.”

Chiefs are currently in eighth place on the DStv Premiership standings, eight points adrift of Galaxy.

They will secure their place in the top-eight with a win away to Cape Town Spurs in their final game of the 2023/24 season, while the Rockets will take fourth with a result away to Polokwane City.
