THEMBINKOSI LORCH SIDELINED FROM THE NEDBANK CUP FINAL SQUAD DUE TO AN INJURY

Rulani Mokwena says Thembinkosi Lorch is injured and won’t play for Mamelodi Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup final.

The 30-year-old former Orlando Pirates attacker was recently in hot water with Downs for appearing in a video that showed him dancing with two women.

But Mokwena says that Lorch will miss the weekend’s game against his former team due to a knock he picked up in the game against Stellenbosch at the beginning of May.

The Brazilians boss said: “Is he available for Saturday? No, he is not available.

“When it comes to players you will get no negative word from me. The space when I am open and honest is when I close my office and have a face to face conversation with them.

“He is injured, but he has been removed from the group. He got injured against Stellies in Cape Town and might have to undergo surgery.”

The Sundowns coach added that he in fact has a few injury concerns, but didn’t reveal who might also be missing against Pirates at the weekend.

“I don’t want to give names a couple of very big concerns but let’s see, two more days to try and work some magic there,” he revealed.
