THABO SEPTEMBER BELIEVES CHIPPA ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK

Chippa United co-coach Thabo September has targeted maximum points until the end of the season.

September and Kwanele Kopo are currently in charge of the team and have seen some improvement, despite the club currently sitting in 14th place on the DStv Premiership standings.

The duo most recently oversaw a 1-0 loss to fellow strugglers Polokwane City, but it was a second defeat in five games, after they went down 2-0 to runaway league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns recently.

The Chilli Boys managed to hold Cape Town City and Stellenbosch to 1-1 draws while seeing off Richards Bay 3-0 and progressing to the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup, where they will face TS Galaxy.

As they prepare to take on bottom-side Cape Town Spurs on Wednesday, September explained that he feels the club are the right track.

He said in the Sowetan: “We are doing well. The defeat at Polokwane was our second in five games in the league, where we managed to collect five points.

“It is going to pick up. From here the aim is to win all the games but we know that it won’t be easy because this league is competitive.”
