Thabang Sibanyoni has joined Richards Bay on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns for the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.
The 28-year-old striker has been with the Brazilians since 2019 but is yet to make a first-team appearance, having spent his entire time with the club out on loan.
Sibanyoni has turned out for JDR Stars, Sekhukhune United, the University of Pretoria and SuperSport United.
Last season, Sibanyoni netted nine goals for Tuks as the team reached the PSL promotional/relegation playoffs but ultimately losing out to Richards Bay.
Sibanyoni was recently rewarded for his form with selection to Bafana Bafana for the COSAFA Cup tournament where he scored the only goal in the 1-0 defeat of Eswatini.
Sibanyoni’s contract with Mamelodi Sundowns, that was set to expire at the end of June has, meanwhile been extended for another year.
He joins fellow new signings Siyethemba Sithebe, Keegan Allan, Tlakusani Mthethwa, Fezile Gcaba, Sbani Khumalo and Thabiso Kutumela at the Natal Rich Boyz.
