TEN HAG RALLIES OLD TRAFFORD CROWD AHEAD OF FA CUP FINAL WITH MAN CITY

Following their 3-2 victory against Newcastle, Erik Ten Hag took to the center of the Theatre of Dreams to address the crowd.

The under-pressure Manchester United manager thanked them for their support over the season before declaring that they will bring the FA Cup back to Old Trafford.

TEN HAG TALKS

“On behalf of the players, the staff, and myself, I’d like to thank you all for the brilliant support during the season,” said the manager, out on the pitch.

“As you know, it wasn’t an easy season, but one thing remained constant, and that was the backing of you for the team.

“But this season is not over yet. First, at Brighton, we go for three points again, and then we go to Wembley.

“I promise you that those players will give everything. Everything to end it good, to win the cup and bring it to Old Trafford.

“And we are sure that you will be there, supporting us. Thank you for being the best supporters in the world. Thank you!”

On the night, anything other than a win for Erik ten Hag’s side would have condemned them to their lowest league finish in 34 years.

OH CAPTAIN, MY CAPTAIN

Bruno Fernandes was instrumental on the night, playing a starring role in the false nine position. The Portugal midfielder has scored 10 Premier League goals this season and registered his eighth assist in the English top flight this season, in their victory over the Magpies.

Amid transfer speculation, the Manchester United captain said, “I will be here if the club wants me to be a part of the future,” he said. “If for some reason they don’t want me, I will go.”

Fernandes still has two years remaining on the extension he signed during 2022. That deal includes the option to extend for a further season.
