Matsatsantsa lost 1-0 to Tshwane rivals Mamelodi Sundowns in their Ke Yona Cup clash on Saturday, when Sibusiso Vilakazi scored the winner for Masandawana.

Speaking after the defeat, Tembo told the media: “In terms of possession we had more of it and got into good areas.

“Probably, we just lacked the killer instinct. We were unfortunate to concede the goal.”

Now United will be aiming to finish at least third in the Absa Premiership as they aim to qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup or CAF Champions League, should they finish first or second.

“Of course, going back to continental football is our ambition,” Tembo said, as quoted by Sowetan Live.

“The season is not yet over. There is still a lot to play for. We will try to finish as high as possible.”
