This Swiss were outplayed against the Italians going down 3-nil. They find themselves on 1 point after three games and in need of a convincing win to go through to the next round.
Having only scored one goal in two matches, the Swiss will need to have their shooting boots on against the Turks to ensure that they claw back the goal difference as the goal difference may play a vital role in deciding who advances and who goes home.
Switzerland’s household names have yet to come to the party and with the task at hand ahead the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Granit Xhaka will surely be hoping to influence their countries performance!
Turkey
The Turks have been disappointing in the tournament so far, losing both games and conceding a total of 5 goals. It will take a miracle for Turkey to be one of the third placed teams and they probably will be coming into this with very low morale.
In their first encounter, their defensive discipline was terrific in the first half. However ever since those first 45 mins of the tournament, they have looked all over the place.
With their poor performances in the tournament thus far, they will need to get their ducks in a row quite quickly as they face a Swiss side who are hungry for a victory.
With Turkey just being over 1500km away from the venue of this match, the Baku Olympic Stadium, it will feel as if they are quite close to home and the support that they hope to receive should be much greater than that of their opponents. They will be hoping that they do provide them with the lift that they will be hoping for.
Prediction: Switzerland Win 13/20
It does promise to be a very interesting watch, the Turkey side look to be playing for pride and the Switzerland team look to really have everything to play for here. With that being said, you should really add Switzerland into all your multiples at 13/20!
