Liverpool’s squad was stretched thin over the festive period, but they have come out the other side still in the Champions League places, and the return of Steven Gerrard will no doubt give them a boost.
Some of the fringe players were given a run in the cup, with Iago Aspas finally getting off the mark for his new club.
A visit to Stoke provides ample opportunity to extend that run, although games between these two are notoriously tight.

The Reds claimed a 1-0 win on opening day, thanks mainly to Simon Mignolet’s late penalty save. 6/10 seems a bit short on the Reds, so I’m going with under 2.5 goals at 21/20, with Suarez probably proving the difference again.
