Steven Daniel Cooper, born on 10 December 1979, is a Welsh professional football manager and former player. He is currently the manager of Premier League club Leicester City.
Cooper started his coaching career at Wrexham’s academy while playing as a defender in the Welsh football leagues. He then moved to Liverpool in 2008 and was appointed as the manager of their academy in 2011.
In 2014, Cooper joined the England youth set-up, initially coaching the U16s, and later led the U17s to win the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup. He then became the head coach of Swansea City in 2019 before managing Nottingham Forest from 2021 to 2023. Finally, on 20 June 2024, he became the manager of Leicester City.
