SIYABONGA NGEZANA TO MISS OUT ON BAFANA FRIENDLIES

Siyabonga Ngezana has been forced to withdraw from the Bafana squad that will face Andorra and Algeria in international friendlies over the next 10 days.

South Africa take on Andorra at May 19th Stadium in Annaba, Algeria on Thursday before their match-up with the Fennec Foxes on Tuesday 26 March, at the Nelson Mandela Stadium.

According to Bafana boss Hugo Broos, the Steaua Bucharest defender misplaced his travel documents in order to be able to leave Romania for the north African country.

Broos explained, in the Citizen: “Ngezana lost his documents and couldn’t leave Romania.

“Ngezana had a very good season, but now he doesn’t have his documents, so it is not because of us (that he is not here), it is because of him.”

Bafana will use these two friendly matches as part of their preperations for upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria and Zimbabwe in June.
