Sevilla have officially released a list of 31 players for pre-season in Portugal with a notable absentee from that squad being Jules Kounde.
The 23-year-old defender has been at the centre of major transfer interest between Barcelona and Chelsea.
Media reports suggest that Chelsea are the favourites to sign the defender, who is valued at around €65 million, but Barcelona have told Kounde to wait for their offer before accepting anything.
Kounde has had meetings with Barcelona and is keen to join but an official offer has not been received from the Catalans yet.
The report further claims that Sevilla are ready to make the deal happen with Chelsea, who have been chasing the defender since last year.
Indications are that a move is likely imminent, because for Sevilla to have dropped the French international from their pre-season squad means something must be happening.
Now all that remains to be seen if whether Kounde will be playing his football in La Liga or the Premier League this upcoming season.
