SEKHUKHUNE UNITED’S ASEKHO TIWANI ATTRACTS FOREIGN INTEREST

Foreign interest swirls around Sekhukhune United’s rising star Asekho Tiwani, 19, after a standout debut season in top-tier football.

With 13 DStv Premiership appearances under his belt, left-back Tiwani’s future in South Africa’s football scene hangs in the balance as overseas clubs express their interest, sources reveal.

Romanian outfit FCSB has emerged as a potential destination for the young midfielder, the same club where former Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezana currently plies his trade.

Contacts have reportedly been initiated between FCSB and Sekhukhune United regarding Tiwani’s services, signalling the growing allure of the player to European clubs.

“Sekhukhune United’s Asekho Tiwani has attracted attention from Europe. The club is deliberating on potential offers, prioritizing the player’s development as one of their success stories from this season.

“FCSB stands out among the interested clubs,” stated a source familiar with the matter to Soccer Laduma.

In addition to FCSB’s interest, Sheriff Tiraspol FC from Moldova have reportedly also made inquiries through the same intermediary who facilitated Ngezana’s move to Romania.

This dual interest underscores Tiwani’s growing reputation on the international stage, with clubs recognizing his potential to make an impact beyond South Africa’s borders.

As Sekhukhune weigh their options, Tiwani’s future hangs in the balance, poised to potentially embark on a new chapter in his burgeoning career on the European stage.
