The Burundian coach, who previously served as a co-coach at Kaizer Chiefs, was appointed to replace Eric Tinkler but was dismissed despite guiding Sekhukhune United to two Betway Premiership victories after suffering three consecutive defeats to Orlando Pirates in the league and across the two legs of their MTN8 semi-final.
Despite securing two Betway Premiership wins, Kaze was dismissed after losing three times in a row to Orlando Pirates; once in the league and over two legs of their MTN8 semi-final.
The decision seems somewhat premature, but Sekhukhune have wasted no time in appointing his replacement, with assistant coach Papi Zothwane taking the reins.
The former Polokwane City, Uthongathi and Richards Bay boss will be assisted by Paulus Masehe and Nascent Nkwashu.
A club statement read: “Sekhukhune United Football Club announces that Head Coach Cedric Kaze has departed from the Club by mutual agreement, with immediate effect.
