Sekhukhune United have announced the signing of six new players for the upcoming DStv Premiership season.
Joining the ambitious club are Denwin Farmer, Abednego Mosiatlhaga, Linda Mntambo, Tshegofatso Mabasa, Elias Mokwana and Tshepo Mokhabi.
While Mabasa has joined on loan from Orlando Pirates, Mosiatlhaga was snapped up from Cape Town Spurs.
Farmer and Mokhabi were both signed from relegated Baroka, while 22-year-old winger Mokwena joins from Platinum City.
Mntambo had been released by Pirates at the end of the 2021/22 campaign and upon signing for Sekhukhune, the veteran Bucs midfielder said in the Sowetan: “I’m happy to have joined Sekhukhune.
“I’m here to add to what the team already has. We want to have a good season and add to the points that the team achieved last campaign.
“Hopefully, we can get more points, turn our losses into draws and turn our stalemates into wins and get more wins to make our fans happy.
“I’m here to play football, not promising anything, but 110% on the field commitment and hard work. That is what I will bring into the team, honest work onto the field, nothing less and nothing more.”
Sekhukhune had earlier in the month parted ways with head coach Owen da Gama and replaced him with former SuperSport United head coach Kaitano Tembo.
They also announced the release of 14 players as well as the transfer of Yusuf Maart to Kaizer Chiefs.
