Seema slams medics after Letlabika injury

Bloemfontein Celtic coach Lehlohonolo Seema was critical of the slow reaction of the paramedics when Wandisile Letlabika suffered a concussion in their match against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.

The match was stopped for 10 minutes after the Siwelele defender hit his head against a post when challenging for the ball and collapsed inside the 18-yard area.

Seema could be seen rushing onto the field with oxygen for the player, who was later rushed to a nearby medical facility.

What was disappointing was the reaction of the stadium medics,” Seema told the media.

“It was not nice to see a small boy like me pushing the stretcher because with head injuries you should go with full equipment with that oxygen and neck balancing protector.

“It took forever with people going up and down. It really looked bad but thanks to God he responded well and hopefully we will be with him soon.”

Subsequently Letlabika was released from hospital and is recuperating well.
