Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho is not completely sold on the idea of making a switch to Manchester United in the off-season, according to reports.
Sancho has been linked heavily with a return to the Premier League this summer after spending three years at Borussia Dortmund.
Earlier on Tuesday, SportBild claimed that Man Utd have been given an August 10th deadline by Dortmund to seal a deal for Sancho, with the German side keen to wrap up business by that date.
Reports on Saturday suggested a deal had been agreed ‘in principle’ between Man Utd and Sancho, which would see the player earn £140,000 contract initially, eventually rising to £200,000 over five years.
However, Bild (via Sport Witness) now claim that Sancho is ‘not 100 percent convinced’ that a move to Old Trafford would be the best for his career, with the 20-year-old doubting that it’s the ‘right step’.
Sancho ‘wants to wait and see’ whether Man Utd qualify for the Champions League this season with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men pushing Chelsea for that crucial fourth position.
A huge deal for Sancho would put Dortmund in a ‘comfortable position financially’ but all is not lost if they don’t sell him as they will hold onto one of their ‘greatest assets’.
