Pavol Safranko has returned to his former club following his release from Mamelodi Sundowns this week.
The 27-year-old Slovakian striker scored nine goals in 28 appearances as the Brazilians claimed a fifth successive league title last season.
But he was deemed surplus to requirements following the signings of Ethiopian forward Nasir Abubeker and Chile attacker Marcelo Allende.
Safranko was released on Wednesday and has now returned to Romania side Sepsi OSK.
The club posted on social media: “Pavol is back”.
Despite being used as a second-choice striker last term, Safranko still made an impact, and netted against Royal AM to book his side’s place in the Nedbank Cup final, which the club won by beating Marumo Gallants 2-1 at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.
