Roy Hodgson can’t see Michael Olise leaving Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace head coach Roy Hodgson is optimistic that Michael Olise won't ditch his team to join English Premier league rivals Chelsea or Manchester City this season.Olise has been heavily linked with a move to both clubs, with reports claiming the French midfielder has already agreed personal terms to join the Stamford Bridge outfit.Chelsea's new manager Mauricio Pochettino is a keen admirer of the 21-year-old and his team are said to have already submitted a fee in the region of $40 million for Olise's services.But Hodgson believes it will be difficult to prise the former Reading attacker away from Selhurst Park."We believe in Olise, and he is an incredible player for us, for now I don't know if he will be joining any of the teams, because he is still our player," Hodgson told the media ahead of the team's pre-season encounter with Milionarios in Chicago.Olise's contract is due to expire at the end of 2026, and the top hierarchy at the club are in no rush to part ways with arguably one of the most dynamic midfielders in the English Premier League.Meanwhile, Hodgson paid a glowing tribute to former Palace player Wilfred Zaha, who joined Galatasaray in Turkey."We have lost an incredible player in Zaha, he gave his all to the team. In case somebody leaves, we will have somebody to obviously step in and perform, and this is why we will be using these games to try other players ahead of the season."
