Newly-promoted Richards Bay FC are reportedly chasing the signature of Baroka FC defender Bonginkosi Makume.
The 26-year-old Makume has been linked with a move to AmaZulu FC for sometime, who are thought to have already made an offer for his services.
Baroka, who were relegated to the GladAfrica Championship this past season, have already lost a few players during the transfer window and now Makume seems to have joined that list.
According to a KickOff.com source, Makume looks set to be playing his football in KwaZulu-Natal the upcoming season, now that both KZN-based Usuthu and Richard Bay FC are both wanting to land him.
“The negotiations between Baroka and AmaZulu are still ongoing,” said a KickOff.com source.
“But now, Richards Bay have also joined the race, and is interested in signing him for next season.”
AmaZulu are reported to have already signed Ethan Books, Gabadinho Mhango and Dumisani Zungu in the hope of finishing closer to the top of the DStv Premiership table in the 2022/23 season. Last season they finished seventh on the league table.
