REPORT: SEKHUKHUNE UNITED SUSPEND COACH LEHLOHONOLO SEEMA

Sekhukhune United coach Lehlohonolo Seema has reportedly been placed on special leave by the DStv Premiership club.

Seema’s appointment this season was seemingly a masterstroke by club bosses as the former Bloemfontein Celtic, Chippa United, Golden Arrows and Polokwane City boss turned their season around.

After struggling for results in the first few months, Seema’s side shot up the standings to challenge both Stellenbosch and Orlando Pirates for a CAF place, before settling into fourth place, with two games of the season to play.

According to reports, the coach has seeimingly been suspended after talks over a new contract for the upcoming season broke down.

The Sowetan say that: “Assistant coaches MacDonald Makhubedu and Paulus Masehe are expected to take charge of the remaining games against AmaZulu and Chippa United.”

Seema oversaw 21 games at Sekhukhune this season, winning eight, while drawing nine and losing four.
