Raja Club Athletic has officially appointed Bosnian tactician, Rusmir Cviko, as their new head coach. The Green Eagles have opted for the experienced Cviko to replace Josef Zinnbauer at the helm of the Moroccan giants.
The club confirmed the appointment following a rigorous search process that reportedly included a strong consideration of Sead Ramovic. However, negotiations with the latter ultimately fell through, paving the way for Cviko to take over the reins.
Prior to his appointment at Raja, Cviko served as an assistant coach for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team. This experience will undoubtedly bring a wealth of international football knowledge to his new role.
Cviko has also demonstrated his managerial prowess by securing promotion to the Saudi Pro League with Al-Orobah, during his only season with the club. This achievement highlights his ability to lead a team to success and adapt to different footballing environments.
Cviko brings a wealth of experience to the role and is expected to bring a fresh perspective to Raja Club Athletic as they aim to reclaim their domestic and continental dominance.
Whilst this is the 52-year-old’s first coaching job in Africa, the club’s supporters will undoubtedly be eager to see how the new coach will shape the team and implement his tactical philosophy.
