Sundowns have come under the spotlight after Hlompho Kekana, Gaston Sirino, Sibusiso Vilakazi and Mosa Lebusa, all on three yellow cards at the time, appeared to get booked on purpose in the 2-1 victory over Celtic so that they would be strategically suspended for the Nedbank Cup last 16 clash with VUT on Sunday, which the Brazilians won 2-0.

FIFA rules stipulate that getting booked on purpose is an offence and PSL prosecutor Nande Becker confirms he is awaiting the match commissioner and referee’s report before deciding whether the PSL will take action or not.

“I have requested the match commissioner and referee’s report,” Becker told KickOff.

“I am waiting for it. I will look at it before deciding the next step.”
