Amakhosi are unbeaten in the new league season, with wins over Kruger United and Sekhukhune United and a draw with Mamelodi Sundowns.

But they face a problem in the left-back role with injuries to Reeve Frosler, Nkanyiso Shinga, Paseka Mako, Bradley Cross and Kabelo Nkgwesa.

Against Sundowns at the weekend, Pule Mmodi operated as a left wing-back in an unusual 3-5-2 formation.

Reflecting on the current situation at the club, Da Cruz said on IOL: “All the left-backs are injured.

“We were unlucky in the last few days in the left full-back position.

“Between the Sekhukhune United game and Saturday, we lost two more players to injury, who are Reeve (Frosler) and Kabelo (Nkgwesa).”
